The Argo Cable Car is one of Batumi's most recognisable vantage points, rising from a lower station on Bako (Baku) Street in the city centre to Anuria Hill overlooking the Black Sea coast, roughly 256 metres above sea level. Opened in 2013 by the Tourinvest Group, the complex has since carried more than two million visitors. Its modern system of twenty enclosed eight-seat gondolas glides quietly and smoothly along a 2,586-metre line, with a one-way ride taking about ten to fifteen minutes. Throughout the climb the cabin windows reveal Batumi's contemporary skyline, its harbour, the sweeping seafront and the lush Adjaran mountains layering into the distance. The ride itself is an attraction; the true reward waits at the summit.

The upper station on Anuria Hill is not merely a terminus but a small cultural and entertainment complex. A broad observation deck frames the entire city, the sea and the surrounding hills from 256 metres up, and telescopes bring distant landmarks closer. A cafe-restaurant serves authentic Georgian cuisine, a souvenir shop sells local goods, and a dedicated wine corner offers tastings of Georgian dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines. A small church and carefully landscaped grounds give the hilltop a calm, unhurried atmosphere that invites lingering.
