Çambaşı Plateau, in the Kabadüz district of Ordu province, is one of the broadest and most developed highlands of Türkiye's Eastern Black Sea.

Sitting at an average altitude of about 1,850 metres and spreading across roughly 100,000 decares (some 10,000 hectares) that take in 72 settlements, it ranks among the largest plateau tablelands in the country. The area was declared a tourism centre as early as 1991; along the asphalt Ordu-Kabadüz-Çambaşı road it lies 54-61 kilometres from the city centre and only 58-60 kilometres from the Black Sea coast. That proximity makes Çambaşı one of the closest ski areas to the sea in Türkiye, offering both maritime and alpine panoramas on the same day.

The plateau's character changes completely with the seasons. In summer the famous 'sea of clouds' that fills the valleys at dawn and dusk, together with Scots-pine forests, alpine meadows and crisp highland air, creates an ideal setting for trekking, nature photography, cycling and picnicking. In winter, long-lasting snow that can reach three to four metres in depth brings the Çambaşı Ski Resort to life; its infrastructure was completed in 2017. The centre serves skiers of every level with 11 runs totalling about 17.3 kilometres and two chairlifts, with the ski area lying between 1,753 and 1,998 metres. The season usually opens in mid-December, and the resort earned international recognition by featuring among the winter-sports recommendations on National Geographic's 'Best of the World 2026' list.
